Hampstead plant lover’s garden

We were asked to redesign the garden of this beautiful Hampstead home, to complement the imposing exterior of the property.  The upper Yorkstone terrace is a perfect spot for dining and leads down to a sweeping lawn, incorporating a smaller circular patio, perfect for catching the sun.

The garden is surrounded by deep planting beds planted with mature trees, to give extra privacy, and evergreen shrubs for year round interest.  Roses and hydrangeas in shades of pink and white give a soft, romantic feel to the planting scheme and combine beautifully with herbaceous perennials and grasses. Traditional Lutyens style brick steps lead to the lowest level of the garden where shady planting and tree ferns surround another small seating area, perfect for that morning coffee break.
